Clarins Daily Energizer Cream Gel £19.50 30ml
My Skin: Oily/Combination
Its no secret that I am in love with this little jar of goodness as I featured it in my October Favourites video. Purchased in Paris on a whimsical spree, a purchase I am glad I made. Not only has this skincare line been heavily featured, and advertised. It has quite frankly been pushed under our noses at all beauty counters, and to be honest, this normally puts me off. Testing it on the back of my dry cracked hand, I spared it a moment of thought (and testing!) and was thoroughly impressed! It came home with me on the eurostar and has since, been my best friend.
Not only does this absorb superbly, it hydrates, nourishes and most of all calms my skin and controls my oil levels. I normally find skin creams quite heavy, sticky and uncomfortable but this one feels like heaven on my skin. The gel formula is very light, perfect for oily/combination skin types. If your a normal/dry skin then I would recommend cream formula. I also use this as a make up base, it has been great so far, ensuring my foundation glides on smoothly and flawlessly. Since using this cream (almost 2 months) I have noticed a change in my skin. My breakouts are less frequent, my skin looks smoother, more even and most importantly, my dry patches have vanished. At £19.50 it is an absolute steal! I will no doubt be purchasing another jar and continuing this love affair....
Have you tried this skincare line before?
Wow I'm definitely going to purchase this later on, I have the same problem with the dry patches of skin on my face. And I have combo skin too! Thanks Suzi.
ReplyDeleteAfter watching your october faves video, I have been contemplating between this one and the biotherm aquasource gel. Have you used the aquasource before? If so, which one do u think is better? I have oily combination skin :)
ReplyDeleteThe only product I've tried by Clarins is their Beauty Flash Balm which was fantastic!
ReplyDeleteWould like to try this one out, I've got pretty oily skin and can be difficult to control at the best of times. xo

I'm currently using this product and while I don't love it, I agree the gel formula is great for oily/combination skin types. It's just the strong scent that kind of puts me off.
ReplyDeleteI'be just got a new job and they use/retail clarins products, so excited to try this! x
ReplyDeletehaven't tried it!! but definitely trying this out once my current moisturizers run out! Thanks for the review Suzi ^_^
ReplyDeletei have tried their skincare just recently! like last year! i love their toner for combo skin. it calmed my skin and i barely broke out after using it! it also contained no alcohol. their cleansing milk i hated though, never made me feel clean, just made my skin felt sticky. ick. i got a couple samples of their serum and energizing toner, and i love the toner too. had a strong fragrance though. the serum is passed on to my aunt. this moisturizer sounds lovely! i should try it after i'm done the many moisturizers i have in my stash! haha
ReplyDeleteI agree with you in the everyone has been forcing Clarins down our throats, I've been hesitant but now you've made me think about considering it. Will you try other products by them? OH and what's your eye cream? could you do a updated skincare routine on your YT please?

I'm a huge fan of Clarins hydraquench range because of my dehydrated skin, and so when I picked up a new bottle of serum the other day, the lady at the counter was supernice and gave me 2 boxes of samples for this range. The cleanser, toner and the cream you are talking about. Excited to try this out as it is their lower price range. Clarins isn't promoted much in Australia but I think its worth checking out some of the things
ReplyDeleteThe Philosophy Hope in a Jar is really nice too! : D
ReplyDeletewould love to try this out. i've got combination oily skin also.. :)
